Rail Trail Assessment Report Findings

The Sudbury Rail Trail Conversion Advisory Committee will be hosting an open public information meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 pm in Town Hall to present the findings of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Environmental and Engineering Assessment report.  This meeting is a follow-up to the public information meeting held on June 15, 2006 which helped gather ideas, comments and concerns about the project.

The Town’s consultant, Fay, Spofford and Thorndike, will give a presentation on their findings.  Topics to be discussed include existing conditions, potential project impacts, required environmental clearances, design alternatives, access and parking, and construction cost estimates.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting.

Two copies of the DRAFT Bruce freeman Rail Trail Environmental and Engineering assessment report are available for review at the Reference desk in the Goodnow Library.  The Final Assessment report will be submitted to the Town in December 2006.
