The Sudbury Board of Selectmen will hold a public meeting to discuss two new designs for the Town Center intersection at their meeting on June 1, 2010, 8:30 pm at Town Hall.

The new plans, designed by the engineering firm Traffic Solutions, attempt to address issues that arose during review of alternatives last year, and benefit from additional survey work that was undertaken in an interim phase of the project. Interested residents are invited to provide feedback to the Selectmen on the plans.

Sudbury Center Alt 2 proposes a similar configuration as existing, with better east/west and north/south alignment, new lights with left turn lanes, and increased pedestrian opportunities.

Sudbury Center Alt 4 proposes 2 new intersections to move traffic through the center, reconfigures the town common and creates new open space opportunities.

Any questions in advance of the meeting can be directed to Jody Kablack, Director of Planning and Community Development, at kablackj@sudbury.ma.us, or by calling 978-639-3387.
