The Sudbury Center Improvement Advisory Committee (SCIAC) will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, May 31, at 7:30 PM in Town Hall to solicit comments from interested residents on ways to improve the functionality of the town center for public use. The meeting will be facilitated by our consultant team, the Cecil Group, along with SEA Consultants and Public Archaeology Lab. The SCIAC seeks input on making the town center area more usable, including traffic circulation, pedestrian opportunities, recreational uses, historic enhancements and environmental enhancements. The consultant team will use the ideas generated at this meeting to prepare design concepts for changes to the area. These design concepts will be discussed at public meetings to be scheduled in the Fall, 2006.

Over the summer months, the consultant team will collect data, prepare maps and conduct preliminary engineering on the roadway and surrounding properties to create scenarios for further discussion.

Anyone interesting in participating is invited to this meeting. If you have ideas but cannot be present, please email any suggestions prior to the meeting to sciac@town.sudbury.ma.us. These comments will then be incorporated into the discussion on the 31st.
