The Board of Selectmen have designated today as
Police Chief Peter F. Fadgen will be retiring on March 8, 2009. He leaves Sudbury after more that 26 years of dedicated service to the community – the last five years as chief.
Chief Fadgen stated, “It is with mixed emotions that I have decided to retire from the Town after 26 years of service. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Town Manager for appointing me Chief of Police five years ago and my appreciation to the Board of Selectmen for their unwavering support during my tenure. I will be leaving my position content in the knowledge that the Police Department is staffed with very capable professionals, dedicated in their efforts to serve and protect the citizens of Sudbury.”
