The Sudbury Day Festival has grown over the past four years into the town’s biggest cultural celebration. On Saturday, September 16, 2006, from 12 noon — 5 p.m., we will again come together in Sudbury Town Center to enjoy food, entertainment, arts and children’s activities from around the world. This year’s theme will be A Journey to the Equator. A look at some of the countries that border this mystical line include: Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Indonesia, Columbia, Brazil and Peru. This is a region that truly encompasses a great part of the population in the Metrowest area.
The Sudbury Day Committee invites you to join us as a sponsor for the 2006 Sudbury Day Festival. As a not-for-profit event, organizers rely on support from the corporate world. Sponsor backing has been strong in the past allowing us to produce a first class event. In return, our sponsors have received broad exposure throughout Sudbury and its neighboring towns as well as the opportunity to spend time one-on-one with its customer base.
To assure that these benefits continue for our sponsors, we are limiting the number of top sponsorships and are offering first right of refusal to all past sponsors through May 19, 2006.
Attached is a list of suggested sponsorship levels. In addition to the listed promotional benefits, we encourage all sponsors to participate in Sudbury Day with a display. We urge all participants to tie their exhibits and activities into our Equatorial theme. The organizing committee is happy to work with you individually to find an activity or display that best meets your needs. You might also consider partnering with a community organization to help you implement an activity or craft. This is your chance to show the diversity and personality of you and your employees.
As Sponsor Chair, I will be contacting you soon to discuss your involvement with the 2006 Sudbury Day Festival. After May 19, we will be making our World Sponsorships available to other interested companies. Because of the success we have enjoyed together in the past, we hope you will join us for this Journey to the Equator. As always, please feel free to call with any questions, ideas and suggestions.
