The Sudbury VFW Post named in honor of LT. Scott Milley is looking for essay and audio submissions for two contests for 2013!!! The submission deadline for both contests is November 1, 2012 with the winners being announced in 2013. All submissions should be mailed to: Commander Charlie Pepper, 14 Old Orchard Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 or delivered to Sudbury’s Veteran’s Agent, Brian Stern’s at Sudbury Town Hall, 322 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776. There are great cash prizes associated with each contest!!

Patriot Pen – This is an essay contest for grades 6 – 8 and this year’s theme is “What I Would Tell America’s Founding Fathers?” Essays must be between 300 – 400 words and should be submitted with the completed Patriot’s Pen entry form. Click here for all the details.

Voice of Democracy – This is an audio recording contest for grades 9-12 and this year’s theme is “Is Our Constitution Still Relevant?” Audio CDs must be between 3 and 5 minutes and should be submitted with the completed Voice of Democracy entry form. Click here for all the details.
