On March 3, 2020, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the Town Manager Contract between Henry L. Hayes, Jr. and the Town of Sudbury. Henry signed the contract that night and will start as Sudbury Town Manager on April 1, 2020.

At their January 9, 2020 meeting, the Board of Selectmen chose Hanscom Air Force Base Command Chief Henry L. Hayes, Jr. as Sudbury’s next Town Manager. The Board interviewed two finalists at their January 9 meeting, and reached their decision following the interviews.

Chairman Dan Carty stated, “We were impressed with Henry’s qualifications and leadership ability. Community Paradigm Associates conducted a thorough Town Manager search, and our screening committee, made up of members of various boards and committees, brought us two strong finalists. We’re very pleased with the outcome.”

The appointment is subject to the successful negotiation of an employment agreement and any additional background checks deemed necessary prior to final execution of an agreement.  To view the video of the Board of Selectmen’s January 9 meeting as well as the cover letter and resume for Henry L.
