Sudbury Channel 8 Open House
Sudbury, MA (August 24, 2004) — Comcast today announced Sudbury Channel 8 Access Television would hold an Open House on Sunday, September 19, 2004 from 2-5pm in conjunction with the Lincoln — Sudbury Regional High School Grand Opening Celebration, Dedication and Tour. The public is invited to tour the new studio facility, located in the Lincoln — Sudbury Regional High School, and learn about volunteering at their local community access television station.
“The Community Access Television volunteer program is designed to equip residents with basic knowledge so that they can start producing, writing and filming local television productions,” said Lynn Puorro, Sudbury Access Coordinator. “Wherever your interests may lie, Community Access Television provides an opportunity for everyone to share their ideas, express an opinion, and inform the community of your organization’s activities.”
Community Access Television is available to any resident or nonprofit organization free of charge. Community Access Television professionals will be available during upcoming workshops to provide in-studio training to teach Sudbury residents to direct, operate cameras, cover local events and public meetings, and much more.
For more information, or to arrange for a studio tour, Sudbury residents and organizations should contact Lynn Puorro, Comcast’s Sudbury Channel 8 Access Coordinator at 978-443-9507.
