Creating a Welcoming Community for People with Brain-Based Disabilities

Valerie Fletcher, Executive Director of the Institute for Human Centered Design, has devoted much of her career to understanding how the built environment, programs, and communications can be designed to be inclusive of individuals with brain‑based conditions.  Ms. Fletcher will explain the changing nature of disabilities and how policies do or do not help integrate our increasing population with brain‑based conditions into community life.  She will be joined by Sudbury Town Social Worker, Bethany Hadvab, and Police Chief, Scott Nix, who will bring their local perspectives to this important topic.
