The Executive Committee of the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Commission will meet at 1 PM on December 16, 2015 in the Parker room located in the Lexington Town Office Building located at 1625 Massachusetts Ave. in Lexington.
Topics to be discussed include an Update on the proposed merger with the Suffolk County Mosquito Control Project, Review and approval of an extension to the Memorandum of Agreement between the Suffolk County and East Middlesex Mosquito Control Commissions, consideration of a proposed FY 2017 budget including anticipated retirements and re-configuring staff responsibilities, report on the process to renew the current lease or to identify a new building to house the two mosquito control projects. There will be reports on other topics including the current 2016 risk of West Nile virus and EEE, Jamestown Canyon Virus, Aedes albopictus, outreach on ticks and tick borne disease, the catchbasin larvicide permit, proposal to revise the pesticide exclusion process, pickup and disposal of discarded tires at open space areas and vacant lots and continued involvement in a bumblebee study.
