The Town of Sudbury is requesting quotations from qualified licensed, eligible contractors experienced in historic restoration projects, to supply and install a fire detection system in the Town owned historic building known as the Hosmer House, 299 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury, MA 01776.  The request for quotes, plans, scope of work and other contract documents are available February 1, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Facilities Department, 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury, MA 01776, or by e-mail request to facilities@sudbury.ma.us.   Quotations are due February 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the office of the Facilities Department.  A site walk will be scheduled for February 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.  The work, estimated at under $50,000, is expected to commence upon contract signing and be completed by March 31, 2017, unless otherwise agreed.  Prevailing Wage rates have been set for the project pursuant to the requirements of G.L.c.149, sec 26-27D.  A labor and materials payment bond in the amount of 50% of the total amount of the contract is required pursuant to G.L.c. 149, sec 29.  For information, contact the Facilities Director at 978-440-5466.
