The Sudbury Housing Trust has voted to award the Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity organization the construction award for the development of affordable housing on the site at Dutton Road.

Habitat for Humanity, a well-known non-profit development organization of affordable housing, responded to an RFP proposal issued by the Trust.  Habitat relies on volunteers as an integral part of their development strategy, and they will start to form local project committees in January.

Some of the next steps include starting the site planning and architectural design as well as the other activities required to start the comprehensive permit process.

Ground breaking is planned for the spring, 2008.
