When teens have their wisdom teeth removed, they often get Facebook messages from their “friends” who want to buy their unused painkillers. Prescription medicines are the second most abused illegal drug after marijuana among teens.
Every day, 2500 teens use a prescription drug for the first time to get high. Most teens say that it is easy to get prescription drugs from home. OR Many home burglars are after prescription drugs, not electronics, jewelry or other valuables.
DISPOSE OF YOUR UNUSED MEDICATIONS SAT. 10/26!!
CRANE (Community Resource and Awareness Network of Sudbury and Lincoln) & Sudbury/ Lincoln Police are sponsoring local participation in the DEA National Drug Take-Back Event on Saturday, October 26th, 10 AM – 2 PM.
A drive through drop-off will be open at the DPW facility at 275 Old Lancaster Road, Sudbury. CRANE volunteers will accept the materials directly from your car. Police will be on site to secure the drugs and ensure proper disposal.

- Controlled substances
- Over the counter drugs
- Herbal remedies
- Vitamins
- Pet medications
All may be placed in sealed plastic bags or containers; they do not have to be in their original containers. Anonymity & security will be paramount.
