The Sudbury Park & Recreation Commission is seeking a qualified member to fill a vacancy on the commission. This is an elected position. However, as a commission member has resigned, the Park and Recreation Commission and the Select Board seek to appoint an interim Commissioner whose term will be in effect until the Annual Town Election on March 25, 2024. A new member to the commission will be elected at the Annual Town Election.
The Park and Recreation Commission consists of five residents elected by the town voters. The commission is a policy-making board responsible to the town for providing year-round high quality indoor and outdoor recreation activities for children and adults. The commission works closely with the Park & Recreation Department.
The committee meets approximately one – two times per month in the evening, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Meetings are held virtually via Zoom.
