The Governor has declared a State of Emergency for Massachusetts due to Hurricane Irene.
The Town of Sudbury has also declared a State of Emergency beginning at noon today, Saturday August 27, 2011.

We expect there could be trees down, local flooding, and power outages.
We urge you to secure your outdoor furniture and other outdoor items.
We encourage all residents to 'Shelter in Place' during the storm and stay off the roads. Please remember to stay away from all downed wires. We recommend you have a three day supply of food, water, and batteries for your home.

We will be opening an Emergency Shelter at the Fairbank Center, 40 Fairbank Road, Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. for anyone who needs to seek shelter.

If you experience an emergency during the storm please call 911.
We have posted information on our website for other suggested steps you should take to prepare for this weather event.
