Storm Recovery Update – Halloween Delayed
- Halloween trick or treating is being delayed until Friday November 2nd. This decision has been made by the Sudbury Police Department due to safety concerns for children and families. The hazards from downed trees and wires are just too widespread for all the debris to be cleaned up by Wednesday.
- A brush drop off site has been established where residents only (NOT Contractors) may bring brush to the Town owned borrow pit, also known as the gravel pit, at 80 North Road. This is located on Route 117 near the Concord/Sudbury town line. This temporary brush drop off site is for brush only (no trash or other waste) and will be open beginning Monday November 5 and stay open Monday -Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm until November 17th except Veterans Day.
- Charging stations. The Goodnow Library will be open regular hours, 9am to 9 pm M- T, and 9 – 5 on Friday and Saturday and extra power strips have been set up there. Additionally the shelter at the Fairbank Community Center Shelter will continue to be open until 8 am on Wednesday and there are several outlets there.
Town staff thanks all residents for their cooperation and patience as we continue to deal with this extraordinary storm situation.
