The Sudbury Center Improvement Advisory Committee (SCIAC) will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, September 20, at 7:30 PM in Town Hall to solicit comments from interested residents on various design alternatives prepared by our consultant team, the Cecil Group, along with SEA Consultants and Public Archaeology Lab. These design alternatives were prepared based on comments received at the May public meeting, and from input by the committee and residents. The designs incorporate elements for improvement of traffic circulation, pedestrian and recreational opportunities, and historic and environmental enhancements. Ideas generated at this meeting will be incorporated into final concept plans and used as a basis for moving the project forward to engineering design and construction. If consensus is gained on a particular design, we anticipate a 2007 Town Meeting article requesting funding for engineering and construction.

All interested persons are invited to this meeting. If you have ideas but cannot be present, please email any suggestions to sciac@town.sudbury.ma.us. These comments will then be incorporated into the discussion on Sept. 20th.

The Sudbury Center Interim Report has been completed by the consultant team, which describes the existing conditions in the project area, stakeholder interviews and comments, and the community goals and objectives for the project, and is available for viewing or downloading.
