The Board of Selectmen has voted to create an ad hoc study committee to review H.3435, the House bill that would, if enacted by the State legislature, approved by the Governor and favorably voted by Sudbury voters at a general or special election, begin to provide means tested tax relief for Sudbury senior citizens. They are seeking two more residents to join this study committee. Residents who have the flexibility to participate in this potentially time-intensive effort between April 9 and May 1, and have experience in the process of setting a town’s tax rate or working with the State Department of Revenue in setting the tax rate are asked to contact the Selectmen’s Office to express their interest in being appointed to this study committee. Please call 978-639-3381 or email Selectmen@sudbury.ma.us. This study committee will begin work the week of April 9.
