Dr. Christopher Star from Sudbury's namesake town of Sudbury, Suffolk, England, will present an illustrated overview of 2000 years of the history of Sudbury, Suffolk. His talk will focus on the town and county as they were in the seventeenth century and as they are today.

Dr. Star served 35 years in the military during which time he completed his studies in medieval history, and undertook a series of historical research projects for the National Archives and the British Army. He retired in 2010 and now spends much of his time talking and writing about medieval Essex and Suffolk. He lives with his wife Susan in Sudbury, Suffolk. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.

The talk is free to all. Refreshments will be served following the presentation in the Community Room at the Goodnow Library. Sponsored by the Sudbury Celebrates 375/Sudbury Day Committee and the Goodnow Library
