1st Lieutenant Jesse Smith recently served an 11 month tour in Afghanistan as the Executive Officer of Delta Forward Support Company. Jesse is a longtime resident of Sudbury. He is a 2007 graduate of LSRHS, where he was on varsity football, wrestling, and rugby teams. He attended Villanova University and graduated in 2011 as a 2nd Lieutenant through the Army ROTC program, with a major in history and minor in business. After graduating, he commissioned in the Ordnance branch and attended Ordnance Officer Basic Course in June of that same year. His first duty assignment was to the 210th Brigade Support Battalion, 2d Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY. He served in Delta Company 210th as the Squadron Maintenance Officer, supporting the 1/89 Cavalry Squadron. His family and community are proud to welcome him home safely.
