Every three years this office must undertake a full recertification of our valuation process.  Under State law the Department of Revenue (DOR) reviews our methodology for consistency, data quality and representation of the market.  We are required to perform statistical analysis of land sales, home sales, and financial investment markets.  Due to a tumultuous market, limited sales and newly instituted DOR requirements, the State Legislature has provided communities such as ours, an extension of time to complete the certification and billing process up until January 31, 2010.

Bills will be considered timely paid if payment is received by the thirtieth day after its mailing date.

Abatement applications will be considered timely filed when received at the Assessor’s office by that same due date.

If you have any question regarding this matter please call the Assessor’s Office:  (978) 639-3392 or (978) 639-3395.
