The Town Center intersection project has been progressing slowly over the summer primarily due to a cornucopia of underground obstacles, including unmapped utilities, ledge and the high voltage power line running under Concord Road. These obstacles have delayed the construction schedule, and the goal of having the intersection completed by the end of August has been revised. Drivers will continue to be inconvenienced through the fall, with a projected completion date of November. However, it is possible that final paving will not occur until the Spring 2016. Construction crews will attempt to limit closure of lanes during the morning rush hour, however some interruption may be necessary before 9 am for certain work. Police details will control traffic and drivers are asked to seek alternate routes where possible in the morning commute.
