The Fairbank Community Center Study Task Force will host a presentation and proposal by PROs Consulting for a new Fairbank Community Center at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Senior Center, Sudbury Pines Room at the Fairbank Community Center, 40 Fairbank Road in Sudbury. Tours of the Fairbank facility will be given from 5:30 pm – 7:00pm.

PROs Consulting has been working with the Fairbank Community Center Study Task Force to create a building concept for a new community center and to address the costs of operating the facility. The results of a Feasibility Study conducted in 2017 can be found here: https://sudbury.ma.us/fairbankstudy/?p=445. The presentation on February 1 will build upon the preliminary concepts PROs Consulting put forward in their earlier findings. The presentation will also include the operating parameters for the facility—expected operating costs, programming costs, and methods of cost recovery for program offerings.

Prior to the 7:00 pm presentation by the consultant, the Task Force will offer tours of the Fairbank Community Center facility, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, to allow people to see the current condition of our community center.

“The Community Center is an important resource for the town,” said Fairbank Community Center Study Task Force Chairman Patricia Brown. “I look forward to learning about this proposed vision for its future. This will be a great chance for residents to see firsthand the results of an extended collaboration between the task force, consultant and other constituents and to ask questions. We’re hoping for a strong turnout.”
