Massachusetts Fire District Fourteen Coordinator
Massachusetts Fire District Fourteen is seeking resumes and applications from qualified individuals for a part-time coordinator with an average commitment up to ten hours per week, however, hours may vary depending on workload and assigned projects. This is a non-benefited, 1099 position with a starting hourly rate up to $24 commensurate with experience.

Massachusetts Fire District Fourteen Coordinator – Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares the district's Annual Report for presentation at the August monthly meeting.

Coordinates all district meetings including monthly, Executive Board, Annual Meetings, legislative events, and other events as required.

Takes, transcribes, and disseminates meeting minutes.

Prepares all district invoicing including annual dues, Seabrook haz mat team charges, SAFE trailer usage billing, etc.

Maintains district budgets and expenses, keeping current balances for monthly reports to the District Chairman.

Coordinates any group purchasing efforts.

Houses the district telephone, computer, fax machine, and supplies.

Updates the Resource Guide in conjunction with Ashland Dispatch.

Retains all district files, letterbooks, bylaws, grant information, etc . .

Interacts with the District Treasurer on district expenses, bank accounts, and payables.

Maintains confidential and sensitive district records, files, and information.

All other duties as needed to promote the efficient coordination of district activities as requested by the District's Executive Board and member chiefs.
Position Requirements

Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Fire department administrative assistant/clerical experience preferred •

Proficient in MicroSoft Office applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities

Outstanding customer service skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels – legislators, Fire Service administration personnel, chiefs, municipal government employees, etc.

Provide a professional image as a representative of Fire District Fourteen
Educational Requirements
Minimum of an Associate's degree or secretarial certification preferred.
Salary Range
Up to $24 per hour, commensurate with experience
