Historic Preservation Plan Community Survey
The Town is currently in the process of preparing a Communitywide Historic Preservation Plan under the leadership of the Historical Commission and the Historic Districts Commission, with support from the Planning & Community Development Department and the Town’s preservation planning consultant, Heritage Strategies, LLC. The Historic Preservation Plan is an implementation action called for in the 2021 Sudbury Master Plan and is funded through a grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission matched with some of the Town’s Community Preservation Act funds. This Historic Preservation Plan will help to further best practices to recognize, protect, preserve, and enhance the Town’s historic buildings, villages, landscapes, and other heritage resources.
As part of this effort, Heritage Strategies, LLC is seeking your feedback through a community survey which can be found at this link:

This survey has been designed to gain a better understanding of how you feel and think about preservation and the Town’s historic character. While this survey will be up for a few weeks, we encourage you to respond to this survey as soon as you are able.
Goals of the Historic Preservation Plan are recognition of the role that historic buildings and landscape resources play in Sudbury’s identity, character, and quality of life, and identification of ways in which the Town’s historic character can be preserved and enhanced through cooperative action. Please keep an eye out for more information on the Historic Preservation Plan in the coming months.
