Hosmer House Historic Structure Report/Cultural Landscape Report Project 

The Town of Sudbury, acting by and through its Town Manager on behalf of the Historical Commission, invites sealed proposals from qualified historic preservation consultants to provide professional research and documentation services for the development of the Hosmer House Historic Structure Report/Cultural Landscape Report (HSR/CLR) for the ca. 1793 Hosmer House, a Town-owned historic property located at 299 Old Sudbury Rd., Sudbury, MA 01776.

Proposers must meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least two (2) years full time experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master’s Degree in any of the above-mentioned areas.

Documents may be requested via email by contacting Beth Perry, perryb@sudbury.ma.us, or obtained from the Planning & Community Development Department, 278 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury, MA 01776, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30AM – 4:00PM, Tuesday 8:30AM – 7:00PM, and Friday 8:30AM – 12:30PM. Questions regarding the RFP must be sent via email to perryb@sudbury.ma.us.

Submissions must be mailed or hand delivered by 10:00AM, Monday, December 11, 2023 to:

All submissions must be in a sealed envelope marked “RFP Hosmer House Historic Structure Report/Cultural Landscape Report”. The Price Proposal must be included within the RFP envelope in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked “Price Proposal Hosmer House Historic Structure Report/Cultural Landscape Report”. Emailed or faxed proposals will NOT be accepted.

All Proposals shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after bid opening.

The Town of Sudbury reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all proposals, or to accept any total proposal which it deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Sudbury.
