The Town of Sudbury seeks a highly responsible, qualified and detail oriented individual as Assistant Town Accountant. This position is available due to an internal promotion. Responsibilities include assisting in the management of numerous financial, accounting, payroll and employee benefits records in addition to supervising two departmental employees.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, progressively responsible municipal accounting experience, working knowledge of governmental fund accounting.

Preference given to candidates having specialized skills in utilizing a variety of computer and accounting software systems, and skill in UMAS accounting and MUNIS applications. Requires ability to communicate effectively and accurately maintain complex financial records.

Starting salary range is $50,646 to $56,825 with room for growth as the current maximum for the position is $66,608. Excellent benefits.
