The Town of Sudbury is offering the public our outdated inventory of computer equipment, peripherals, and software for free. We have grouped our computers so that each system will come with the computer, a monitor, keyboard and mouse. All of these 486 systems have been tested and are working. We will also be offering laser, inkjet, and dot matrix printers, external modems, monitors, and miscellaneous computer equipment. The computer software that we have is older software for DOS, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. The software includes Word Perfect, older versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and many other popular titles. If you are interested in coming in and picking up or testing any of the equipment please send me an email at thompsonm@town.sudbury.ma.us and I will get back to you to setup a time. Any of the computers that we are giving away are not internet ready but can be used as stand alone machines for people who want to use word processors or spreadsheets. The majority of the computers do have Windows 95 and they do not have CDROMS. The Town of Sudbury is giving these machines away in as is condition and we recommend that if you want the equipment you test it before taking it away. No returns will be accepted. If you have setup problems, we will try to help find volunteers to assist you.
