Please be advised, there has been a water main break on Old Sudbury Road in the location of the Peter Noyes School.

If your property is in close proximity to this location you could experience the following today; water may at times appear yellow to dark brown in color which is iron and manganese (natural minerals found in ground water) and may also appear milky at times (air bubbles caused by the opening of the water main).

These non-health threatening minerals are known to cause staining. Be a wary consumer, to minimize the effect of these naturally occurring minerals, avoid using and / or purchasing products that contain chlorine (including automatic dishwashing detergents, laundry detergents, and any other household cleaning agents). Products free of chlorine are now available at most local grocery and department stores.

To avoid drawing iron and manganese sediment into your own system, limit water intake for the next eight (8) hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) while we are repairing this main.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter please contact me at (978) 443-6602.

Sincerely,

Renee Adams
