You! The Master Plan is a community-driven document. Your input helps the Town understand the needs of the community, what aspects of Sudbury are important to protect, and what could benefit from improvements or be transformed to meet today’s needs as well as those of the future. The Sudbury Planning Board is responsible for updating the Master Plan and formed the Master Plan Steering Committee to guide the update process. The Steering Committee is made up of Town staff, local boards and committees, and residents of Sudbury. All meetings are open to the public. Regular meetings are held the third Friday of each month, but check the Town Calendar for current information on meeting schedule or visit www.sudbury.ma.us/masterplan/.

Master Plan

The Master Plan Steering Committee was created by the Planning Board on January 9, 2019. The committee was dissolved by the Planning Board on June 23, 2021.

The Master Plan Steering Committee advises on the development of the Master Plan document which reflects and supports the Community’s priorities and goals.

The Committee also fosters openness and inclusion in the master planning process through dialogue and communication with the consulting team of Horsley Witten and various stakeholders in the Sudbury Community.

The Master Plan Steering Committee is comprised of designated Sudbury Board and Committee members, and several at-large community members. The Committee is guided and led by the Planning Board, Horsley Witten, the Master Plan Consultants, and the Office of Planning and Community Development. Membership will be in existence for approximately 18 months to two years in order to direct the preparation of the Master Plan.
