- Complaint regarding chlorinated water leakage from Atkinson Dive Well
Assessment and Repair
- Atkinson Dive Well Closed until further notice, effective 3/27/24
- Dive Well Dechlorinated
- De-chlorination neutralizes chlorine to eliminates environmental concerns of chlorinated water discharging into the ground
- Completed 3/27/24
- Barricades installed around dive well to prevent unauthorized or accidental entry
Next Steps

- Determine location of leak

- Dive Well is not being drained at this time
- If water level stabilizes, it will help identify source of leak

- Possibilities include skimmers and associated piping that have not been replaced, new piping failure, valve failure, infrastructure cracks, or a combination of factors
