Sidewalks are not designed for bicycle speeds, however bicycle use is not prohibited on sidewalks in the Town of Sudbury. When operating on a sidewalk, bicyclists must yield to pedestrians and give an audbile signal when passing a pedestrian. Additionally, laws that pertain to required equipment and to carriage of passengers remain applicable.

Please use care and caution while traversing the town’s sidewalks on your bicycle and remain aware of safety issues associated with pedestrian traffic.
