2Traffic Advisory for 1LT Milley’s Services Friday and Saturday:

 Friday:

The Sudbury Police Dept requests that if possible all commuter traffic avoids Concord Rd between Sudbury Center and LSRHS as 1st Lt Milley’s wake is scheduled to begin at 3pm and is expected to be heavily attended.  While no road closures are planned we are anticipating significant traffic delays in this area.

Saturday:

1st Lt. Milley’s funeral services will be held at LSRHS Saturday at 11am.  The Sudbury Police Dept expects this to be heavily attended as well.  There will be a walking procession from the school to the New Town Cemetery in Sudbury Center, therefore, Concord Rd will be closed in both directions from Pantry Rd to the Town Center from approximately 12noon until approximately 4pm.  Lincoln Rd will also be closed at Water Row Rd for this same time frame. The southbound detour will be Haynes Rd to Marlboro Rd to Rte 27 south.  The northbound detour will be Rte 27 to Marlboro Rd or Rte 117.  Also Old Sudbury Road (Rte 27) westbound will be closed from River Rd in Wayland to the Town Center for the time it takes the motorcade procession to reach and enter the cemetary.  The Sudbury Police Dept is respectfully requesting residents to avoid Concord Rd during this time period.

Note:  Satellite parking for these events will be at Featherland Park, the Nixon School, and St. Elizabeth’s Church all on Concord Rd within ¼ mile of the high school.  There will be shuttle service from these lots.
