On 11-24-18 at approximately 12:15 AM the Sudbury Police Department received notification from a Powers Road resident their dog had been attacked by an animal, what they felt was possibly a Coyote.  Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect animal.   Assistance was provided to the residents getting the dog into their vehicle for transport to the vet.  Unfortunately, the dog had to be humanely euthanized.  Our condolences go out to the family.  We want to warn residents of the incident so additional precautions can be taken, particularly with children and animals.  Please use diligence in monitoring your animals especially later in the evening and early mornings hours when Coyotes tend to be more active.
