We are excited to offer our fourth annual Sudbury Police Youth Academy! Admission to the SPYA will be open to Sudbury residents who are currently in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade as of January 1st 2026.

Admission will be granted on a first come-first serve basis with preference given to 8th grade applicants. There is no cost for the program, however applicants are expected to attend the entire weeks session. The SPYA is a 40 hour program (8:00am-4:00pm, Mon-Fri) with a graduation ceremony on Friday afternoon. We are offering one session this summer starting Monday July 13th – Friday July 17th, 2026.

There is a mandatory parent/guardian meeting. Parents/Guardians must attend in order for their children to participate in the program. The meeting will be held Wednesday June 10th at 6:00pm at the Sudbury Police Department (75 Hudson Road). This meeting will explain the program curriculum and youth academy rules, regulations and expectations.

During this academy your child will be challenged and pushed to problem solve, work with their classmates as a team and learn the tactics and skills our Sudbury Officers utilize on a daily basis. Each morning will start with physical fitness and include a variety of exercises designed to motivate, encourage and improve self-confidence. We are proud to motivate and encourage the youth within our community
