On 9-30-2010 at approximately 11:29 AM the Sudbury Police Department received information from school officials regarding the alleged presence of a handgun on a school bus from Nixon on Wednesday afternoon.  A joint investigation involving the police department and school officials revealed the alleged handgun was actually a replica cap gun which is now in possession of an adult family member.  Although the actions of the student were not appropriate further action by the police department is not necessary although school sanctions may be forthcoming.
