The Sudbury Police and Fire Departments, in conjunction with a number of other communities, continues to assess the feasibility of a regional dispatch center.

A grant in the amount of $150,000 submitted by the Town of Sudbury has been approved by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security State 911 Department to conduct a feasibility study of a Regional Emergency Communications Center involving the towns of Acton, Boxborough, Concord, Lincoln, Sudbury, Wayland and Weston.

There is also a second grant that has been received in the amount of $182,000, submitted by the Sherborn Police Chief  Richard Thompson, to study the feasibility of a regional dispatch/lockup facility in the Town of Sherborn for numerous towns to include Sudbury.

We are committed to assessing the best options for the citizens of Sudbury.

Respectfully,

Sudbury Police/Fire Departments
