On May 10, 2018 at approximately 6:30 PM numerous calls were received regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle on Fairbanks Road in the area of Phillips Road.  Sudbury Police and Fire personnel responded to the area discovering a young female laying on the side of the road.  Sudbury Fire Paramedics transported the patient to Children’s Hospital with serious but apparently non-life threatening injuries.  The operator remained at the scene cooperating with the investigation but was eventually transported to the hospital as well.  The pedestrian is a Curtis Middle School student and our thoughts and prayers are with the student and her family.  The accident remains under investigation by the Sudbury Police Department.
