FBI Task Force arrests alleged terrorist suspect

On October 21, 2009 at approximately 6am members of the Sudbury Police assisted the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in the execution of a search/arrest warrant at 6 Fairhaven Circle where a Tarek A. Mehanna (27 yoa) was taken into custody on a federal warrant charging him with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. Mehanna was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sudbury Police Department for processing then conveyed to federal court by members of the JTTF.
