Message from the Sudbury School Committee:

The Sudbury School Committee is beginning the search for our next Superintendent of Schools for the 2027–28 school year. This is an important responsibility and an opportunity to identify a leader who will support the continued strength of our schools and Sudbury Public Schools’ commitment to helping all students reach their intellectual and personal potential. We are working with the Collins Center to support a thoughtful and transparent search process.

As part of this process, we are seeking community members interested in serving on the Superintendent Screening Committee. The Screening Committee will review and interview candidates and recommend candidates to the School Committee for further consideration. The School Committee is ultimately responsible for selecting and appointing the Superintendent.

We are seeking approximately 13–17 members representing a range of school and community stakeholders. The majority of the Screening Committee’s work is expected to take place in November and December, primarily during evenings and potentially on Saturdays. In-person participation is preferred for most of the committee’s work and will be required for certain meetings, including candidate interviews.

If you are interested in being considered, please complete the Superintendent Screening Committee Interest Form. Because the committee is limited in size, submitting the form does not guarantee appointment.

This is important work, and we appreciate your interest in contributing to the process. There will also be additional opportunities for members of the community to provide input throughout the superintendent search.

The Interest Form will close on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
