Sudbury Named a “Green Community”

Citing “… the vision and hard work of our first group of official Green Communities, Governor Patrick recently named 35 cities and towns as the Commonwealth’s first group of offical “Green Communities.”  The designation specifically highlights the initiatives by these communities to saving energy, making new construction more energy efficient and continuing to make clean energy choices.  Notably, being named a first-round Green Community makes Sudbury (and its 34 counterparts) eligible for $8.1 million in grant money for future energy-related projects.
