While the COVID-19 pandemic has made it necessary to exercise additional precautions this year, Sudbury’s Annual Roadside Cleanup Day will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Join in the general beautification of Sudbury roads, public areas and parks. We need everyone’s help in this important effort. Each year, Sudbury civic groups, businesses and residents volunteer their time and energy to pick up litter all over town.

2020 marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day! Read the Board of Selectmen’s Sudbury Earth Week Proclamation here.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Sign Up – Participants sign up to Adopt a Street for cleanup. On Saturday, April 25, 2020, everyone who volunteered picks up litter discarded in the area(s) they selected to beautify.

2. Clean Up – Gather your cleanup supplies (any large garbage bag will do) and follow safety guidelines (gloves, insect repellent and more – please read carefully) during cleanup. Then head to your adopted area, and bag up litter along the roadside/park area.

3. Stay Safe – Please observe social distancing guidelines: stay at least 6 feet away from others, wear a face covering and do not gather in a group. Please stay within your adopted cleanup area.

4. Drop Off Place the bagged litter in one consolidated pile at a visible area along your adopted route. DPW crew will pick up bagged litter during the week of April 27. PLEASE NOTE: Only bags left along adopted routes can be picked up. Sign up below to Adopt-A-Street.

That’s it! Sudbury’s roads and parks will be cleaner and healthier thanks to your efforts!
