Message from Seanan Fong and Jiayun Ho of the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program:

To Whom This May Concern:

Greetings! As you might know, we are two students with the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program (HNMCP) who engaged Sudbury residents in the “Sudbury Listening Project” this semester.

Through the course of this project, we have deeply appreciated the courage and dedication that residents showed in sharing their stories, experiences, and perspectives with us through interviews, focus groups, and surveys. Now, as the project comes to a close, we are hoping to share back some of what we have heard and synthesized over the past two months about town process, communication and relationships in Sudbury. We hope that this information can be in some way helpful to Sudbury residents moving forward.

In that spirit, we invite you and all Sudbury residents to read our final report and attend our final public presentation.

Final Report: Our final report can be read at the following link. Please feel free to forward this email with this link to other Sudbury residents:

Also, please feel free to pass on this notice widely.

In this project, we have striven hard to listen with care and curiosity, as well as to share what we have learned as neutrally and faithfully as possible. As stakeholders in the town, it is in your hands to decide how you will respond to this report and presentation. We are sincerely hopeful that Sudbury’s community can draw on the dedication and public-spiritedness of its residents to find productive and understanding paths forward.

Thank you for this opportunity to learn and take part in the Sudbury community. We hope to see you soon at the presentation.

Sincerely,

Seanan Fong and Jiayun Ho
