SUDBURY– The town committee studying solid waste disposal and recycling options will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

The committee will outline its work to date and seeks residents’ comments and questions about various options to deal with trash disposal and recycling.

The Solid Waste Management Options Committee (SWMOC) also expects to have the results from a September survey of residents available by the public meeting.

The meeting will also be broadcast live on Sudbury public access cable channel 8 (Comcast) or 31 (Verizon).

At the meeting, SWMOC will outline its work over the past year and a half, including research on the practices in comparable towns and interviews with solid waste hauling companies, as well as the results of the survey. The meeting will include an extensive question-and-comment period for resident input on what options should be available to the town.

The committee expects to make its recommendations to the Selectmen by the end of 2008.
