Haarde Selected as New Chair, Simon Vice-Chair

Last night, the Sudbury Board of Selectmen selected Robert Haarde as Chair and Len Simon as Vice Chair for the next year.

Haarde expressed his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity at the meeting. This will be Haarde’s first term as Chair.

“I am honored to be selected by my peers as Chairman,” Haarde said. “We have grown so much as a board over the past two years and I’m proud to serve with such a devoted and able board.”

Haarde is the longest serving member of the Board of Selectmen and Simon is the second longest serving member.

“I’m excited to work with such a great team,” Town Manager Melissa Rodrigues said. “We have developed such great working relationships during my tenure here and the respect that the board has for each other and for this community is encouraging and motivating.”

Last night’s meeting was also the first meeting for newly elected Selectman Dan Carty.
