Sudbury Transportation Options
The Sudbury Transportation Committee was formed in September 2018 to research and plan for Sudbury’s transportation needs. The Committee has successfully launched several new transportation services that supplement the ongoing Sudbury Connection van services through the Sudbury Senior Center.
Please Note: Transportation services may change or have limits. Be sure to keep up to date with emails or other communications from the Sudbury Senior Center and/or Sudbury Transportation Committee.
UPDATE 8/15/25
Effective September 1, 2025, the Go Sudbury! Uber and Go Sudbury! Taxi programs will become simply the Go Sudbury! limited ride low cost transportation program. While we are pleased to be able to continue to provide the program, several changes were necessary in order to ensure that we will be able to offer it for many years to come. Please see “Go Sudbury! Program” below for details.
UPDATE 7/14/25
We are pleased to announce the continuation of the Sudbury Catch Connect service for another year (the pilot year was a success!). The program had been offered through June 2025, and will now be extended through June 2026. Sudbury Catch Connect will continue FARE-FREE for the time being.

1. Sudbury Connection Van Service
(Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
The Sudbury Connection Wheelchair Accessible Van Service is operated through the Sudbury Senior Center, in conjunction with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA). This is a shared ride service which means that on occasion your ride time may be adjusted to accommodate the van schedule.
Eligibility: Sudbury residents 60 and older and residents who are 18 and older who are living with a disability that limits driving.
Service Hours: Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (first ride at 8:45 AM; last ride starts at 3:30 PM)
Service Area: The Sudbury Connection van provides service within Sudbury as well as to health care destinations in Wayland, Framingham, Marlborough, Maynard and Concord. The Connection van also provides rides to Stop and Shop/Wayland, a group trip to Market Basket in Maynard on Tuesdays, and to Target in Marlborough once each month.
Cost: Van fees are $1.00 in town; $2.00 for out of town for a one-way ride and are deducted when you take a ride. (NOTE: Currently, Van Service is FARE FREE through June 30, 2026).

Using the Service: When your application is approved, you will set up a debit account with the MWRTA for van fees. You can then reserve Van rides at least 48 business hours in advance by contacting the MWRTA Reservation Center at 508-820-4650.

2. MWRTA Dial-a-Ride: Supplement to Sudbury Connection Van Service
(Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00-7:00 PM)
The MWRTA Dial-a-Ride is a supplemental service to the Connection van service and is operated by the MWRTA, in conjunction with the Sudbury Senior Center.
Eligibility: Sudbury residents 60 and older and residents who are 18 and older who are living with a disability that limits driving.
Service Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM
Service Area: See Sudbury Connection Van – Service Area above.
Cost: Van fees are $1.00 in town; $2.00 for out of town for a one-way ride and are deducted when you take a ride. (NOTE: Currently, Van Service is FARE FREE through June 30, 2026).

3. Go Sudbury! Program
The Go Sudbury! Uber Rides Program is a Town-funded, partially subsidized, transportation program provided via Uber to get from one place to another if no other public transportation is available.
Eligibility: Go Sudbury! riders must be:
- A Sudbury resident
- 18 years of age or older
- and meet at least one of the following criteria:

- Have a temporary or permanent physical or cognitive limitation that impacts driving
- Be enrolled in at least one of the following: MassHealth, SNAP, Subsidized Housing, Utility Discount or Fuel Assistance, Veterans Benefits, or WIC
Service Area & Guidelines:
- All rides must begin or end in Sudbury.
- Service is provided to the Logan Express Shuttle in Framingham, but not to Logan Airport.
Rides are provided for:
- non-urgent healthcare appointments
- vaccination appointments
- work
- shopping
- accessing community resources
Cost: Qualifying riders will receive up to $30 in Uber vouchers each month. Riders are responsible for any costs beyond this amount. Alternative transportation options may require an additional rider co-pay.
Application: To apply for the updated program, please complete the application at https://forms.gle/ey7mA5SiziCmd72b6. Applications will be reviewed by the Community Social Worker and the staff at the Senior Center. Further voucher request information will be sent upon program qualification.
Accessibility: **WAV Service Note**
The Go Sudbury! Program does not provide wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV) at this time. For rides in a WAV vehicle:
- Residents under age 60 should contact the Community Social Worker Office at (978) 440-5476 or socialworker@sudbury.ma.us.
- Residents aged 60 or older should contact the Sudbury Senior Center at (978) 443-3055 or senior@sudbury.ma.us.
- You may also wish to consider one of Sudbury’s transportation programs which offers WAV vehicles.
Using the Service: You must have a private account with Uber on your smartphone for this service. For assistance with downloading or using the Uber application on your smartphone, please contact the Sudbury Senior Center at 978-443-3055 or senior@sudbury.ma.us to make an appointment with a Tech Support volunteer.

4. Catch Connect Sudbury
Catch Connect Sudbury shuttle is a grant-funded, pilot program sponsored by the Sudbury Transportation Committee and the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA). This new Microtransit on-demand service started in Sudbury on July 1, 2024. Service is provided by a wheelchair accessible van from the MWRTA.
Eligibility: Targeted to serve:

- Adults 60 and older
- Those who are 12 years of age and older who have a disability
- Those who are 12 years of age and older who have financial need.
However, this service is eligible to all residents 12 years of age and older.
Service Hours: Mondays through Fridays, from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Service Area: Rides will be within Sudbury and to the Target Store in Marlborough.
Cost: Sudbury and the MWRTA will offer Catch Connect services free through the summer of 2026. After that period, the cost per ride will be $2. There is no cap on the number of rides.
Application: Download the MWRTA Catch app onto your smart phone and request rides through the app.
Using the Service: Riders are able to request a ride as they need them, and potentially get picked up within a few minutes to ½ hour.

5. Sudbury-Wayland Boston Hospital Shuttle
Sudbury partners with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority to run the Sudbury-Wayland Boston Hospital Shuttle.
Service Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. See Pick Up & Drop Off Times below.
Service Area: See Possible Stop Locations below.
Cost: Service is currently FARE FREE to due a Mass. State Grant through June 30, 2025.
Application: Call 508-820-4650 to register for Sudbury-Wayland Hospital Shuttle.
Using the Service: Reservations made at least a full 24 hours in advance by calling 508-820-4650. There are three runs to the hospitals each day and stops are based on the reservations.
