West Nile Virus Found in Acton

The MDPH has notified the Board of Health that mosquito samples collected in Acton tested positive for West Nile Virus. The virus was found in the Culex species of mosquito which is a mosquito found in Sudbury and it breeds in wetland areas with cattails. The Board of Health urges residents to take precaution to avoid mosquito bites.
