The MetroWest Climate Solutions is hosting a webinar on Thursday, March 21st at 7 pm on how to “Transform Your Lawn to Save Our Ecosystem.” During this webinar, Mark Robinson, Director of Horticulture at the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, will discuss why you should transition your lawn using beautiful and environmentally friendly plants. Turf grass lawn covers more of the United Stated than any other irrigated crop. Lawns are resource-heavy, requiring mowing, irrigation, fertilizer, and pesticides to thrive. Incorporating native plants in lawns and gardens helps to mitigate floods, heat waves, sea-level rise, and the mass extinction of species.
