Residents are requested to report dead birds to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s West Nile Virus (WNV) information line at (866) MASS-WNV / (866) 627-7968. They will determine if birds should be submitted by the Sudbury Health Department (978) 443-8891 x379 for WNV testing.

The MDPH’s WNV Information Web Site http://www.state.ma.us/dph/wnv/wnv1.htm has links to learn more about WNV surveillance, the testing of birds and mosquitoes, and how to reduce your risk to infection.

The Town of Sudbury’s Website also has a list of WNV web links under the category of Mosquito Control at http://www.sudbury.ma.us/links.asp
