West Nile Virus Identified in Mosquito in Nearby Town

West Nile Virus (WNV) has been identified, through routine mosquito surveillance, in Acton.  Although WNV has yet to be isolated in Sudbury, it is presumed to be present in the mosquito and avian populations. Residents are advised to visit the Massachusetts Department of Public Health website to learn more about mosquito-borne diseases how to take precautions to reduce the risk of infection.
